Is there hazardous chemicals in Mehandi (Henna) in India?

There were rumor started regarding Mehandi (Henna) mixed with hazardous chemicals and its life claim issue on 20^th August 2012 late evening in some parts of India. As per rumor, there were few kids died and few are serious on Mulbagal area and other few parts in Bangalore city due to applying Henna (Mehandi) one day prior to Eid-ul Fitr (Ramzan) festival. No one sure or confirmed till late evening regarding Mehandi issue in India.

Latest news or breaking news on Mehandi (Henna) issue in India is not available yet from any official sources. However, the panic has begun among people regarding Mehandi applying issue. There were so many calls and messages (SMS) exchanged on Mehandi (Henna) issue as awareness among relatives and friends first hearing rumor news. Later, it was spread across few region and each neigbors. 

As per local senior people of each area, they said nothing to worry on any Mehandi (Henna) and chemical issue. Whoever applied Mehandi (Henna) can be just easily washed out with the warm water as safety precaution only, and whoever about to apply Mehandi can be stopped due to safety reason as well. Nothing to panic on this matter, however, there is no any official or live confirmation regarding death or serious matter due to applying Mehandi (Henna) in India.
