After came out from Pharaoh
dynasty, Moses became Prophet and he was living with old Prophet Shuaib
(Jethro) and his life gone as such. Moses was a shepherd too and after becoming
Prophet, he used to talk to God and vice-versa. While he was in a duty of
Shepherd, God once asked him as below;
God: Moses, what is in your
hand?
Moses: Oh almighty God, it is
wooden staff (stick)
God: What are you doing with
the wooden stick? (God asked him though he knew it)
Moses: Oh God, it is very helpful
and gives benefit of plucking leaves from tree for sheep, moving thorn, moving stones, controlling
sheep, hitting any bad insects and so on.
God: Ok, Moses, can you throw
that stick forth?
Moses: Thrown that stick and
immediately it became a giant serpents / snake. Moses ran behind and heard the
voice of God…
God: Moses, don’t run, catch
it
Moses: (Moses afraid to turn
back and see it – it is just because of benefit given stick turned to source of
loss) turned back as per commandment then move forward to catch it…but it is so
dangerous to catch it. He slowly moved forth and tried to catch it from Snake
tail (It is simple for us to state this one as it happened in the past for
other but it was practical for him at that time).
God: Oh Moses, don’t catch it
from tail, catch it on its neck
Moses: He shivered (it doesn’t
mean he afraid of snake more than God, he afraid snake as normal human used to
run of it due to harmful) and try to
move his hand from tail to neck and hold its neck in the name of God as
commandant. It suddenly turned from Snake to former state of Stick.
God: Moses, what is in your
hand now?
Moses: Oh almighty God, it is
neither wooden stick nor snake…it is what you wish for.
Moral of the fact: Good or bad, advantage or disadvantage, win or
loss – everything is from God. It is what as he wish for and not as we human sees it.
For example, business gives benefit to many, but the same business makes loss
and close the business as well for some. The same story goes to even
employment and unemployment for a while.
