I have gone through various suicide stories from “The Story of a suicide” written by author Sriram Ayer and felt different feeling in a different stories despite the topic of ‘suicide’ is just one.
Review of The story of a suicide:
Author has carved it well in a different format which one or any other stories of the suicide may liked by anyone since some of them are touching one. At the same time, people in generally would think that “what a stupid action is ‘suicide’”? He also describing that suicide is doing by some immature mind on some forces for some reason on hasty which they can’t easily face it whereas other faces it, overcomes out of it and lives generally.
I would like to mention over here is, I am stolen and the part of the book I relate to the most as below;
Anyhow, read this article to know four different people who likes to commit suicide for a different reason and met on the suicide point before jumping it off. They become friends and tried to know about each other before committing suicide.
Four different stories of a suicide:
The first one is telling about him, who is a rich young man; he was respecting his parent, society and around until and unless he comes to know about ‘the truth’. What was that truth? The truth comes to know from his close friend on one desperate situation. Yes, his father’s habit of accepting bribe from others and becoming rich from such practices.
The bribe topic arises when this young gentleman was shooting a video of other officer’s bribe action on live. Then the other friend who was assisting to him for this video action told him that you have to shoot the video of your own father first to know the real picture of the bribe and his economical status and growth. He shocked and fought with his own friend who told him truth about his father participation on bribe topic.
He then realized that why not checking his own father’s action on bribe, he finally witnessed and come to know that his father is also involved and taking bribe since a long duration. This young gentleman himself felt a lot of shame among friend’s circle and decided to move ahead to question the same with parents. His mother tried to justify about the bribe but this young man not willing to accept anything on this ‘bribe’ action done by his father. He decided to leave the home immediately and tried to reach a different place to commit suicide instead. He reached the suicide point.
It was also surprise that there were two gentlemen and two girls met on the suicide point and gathered to say each one of their reason before committing suicide. Now first one is over, read the rest three people’s suicide decision and their statement with each other.
Suicide due to unemployment or poor
The second gentleman met him on the same ‘suicide point’ and told him why he is about to commit suicide? He said that, his problem is unemployment due to caste and other unknown issues (this was the real case few decades ago in India and God only knows current situation for the same in some parts in our country). He was trying for a Government job since many years and attended many Government jobs interviews via ‘employment exchange office’ through proper channel / direction but still didn’t get the job despite he has studied well with highest percentage of marks and distinction etc. along with general knowledge.
He neither got any opportunity of the suitable job from a private company. His family pressurized him for a job and his society too stamped him like a ‘lazy fellow’ despite preparing and working hard to get the right opportunity. These are other than few reasons for which he won’t like to live anymore. The overall situation forced him to cry on his fate and leave the life. He reached the suicide point.
The girl who was pretty decided to reach that suicide point just because of family and society’s view on her which she was gang-raped few weeks back and her status gone from the best one to the worst one within few days or weeks. She has not done any mistake or crime but she is suffering from others’ crime, illegal, violent and brutal mistakes. In fact, we have to imagine on such girl’s or women’s viewpoint that they goes through on such a pathetic situation and live every second like a punishment of more than a death. She however reached the suicide point.
The fourth one, who was a young pretty girl from a poor family, she was forced by her parent to marry a very old man (for some petty money) and she completely refused it. Her dream of further studying, economical growth and a young good life partner dreams broken straight away from her own parent. She reached the suicide point.

Tips to ill fated people to help
They become friends, listen each other’s concern, thought about each other’s situation and how to overcome in case. They finally decided to live together for a month to face the life for a better one if any, if not, they decided to finally commit suicide after a month. They joined together and left the ‘suicide point’ to rent a home and live with good aim mutually. It was tough to get a rent home for them first but they got it after few days with the help of an old man who was alone at home after his wife died recently.
Tips on dealing with life
The rich young man shown pity on a girl who was gang-raped and started to understand her feeling to overcome out of her problem. He also thought that this help toward her as good deed may compensate his father’s bribe action. On the other hand, the young man (who was / is unemployed) started to guide the poor girl on how to get a job and study through correspondence while on work and to find if there is any luck for her instead of this gentleman’s ill-fated. She got the job in a private firm and sooner the unemployed gentleman becomes employed gentleman via her referral.
The other one story is gone like she become home maker and working part time from home and the rich gentleman assisted her by moral and financial support that helps to overcome from bitter past experience. The days gone and a month too together. They finally started to ask each other about the same ‘suicide point’ action and they postponed it for six months now.
The final result on the story of the suicide fellows:
One day, the rich man met an accident and admitted in the hospital by these three fellows. He was seriously injured but not a death issue though. They helped him as much as they can beside two fellows working in a private firm. By this time, all four realized that there are many patients in the hospital who would like to live or overcome from serious health issue and live happily but they can’t live normally except lying on the bed sadly.
They also one by one realized in the hospital that majority of the people feeling is to live as much as they can by even investing huge amount but few who have everything would like to die or suicide just because of temporary issue or difficulties in their life.
They observed in the hospital that some has kidney failure issue but would like to overcome from that as soon as possible, some has cancer and his family would like to spend as much as they can to overcome from cancer issue, someone has cardiac issue and her family all around scattered would like to spend money as much as they can to recover her life from cancer.
Some kids struggling from burnt, some Asthma fellows would like to breath naturally without struggle and few old men facing the challenges to stand, walk and live naturally as an young man again. All of them were struggling to live. But these four youths understood from them that the natural gift what these four have right now with them, so postponed to commit suicide forever.
